Event Details
The Annual Hearst Elementary School Auction, which includes dinner, silent/live auctions, and dancing, will be returning to the Hilton in Pleasanton on March 24, 2012. Under the leadership of the auction chairs and through the hard work and creative efforts of a large cadre of volunteers, the Auction provides an important source of financial support for the directed PTA funds of the school. This year the auction continues to be critical since the district budget does not meet all the needs. Our goal is to raise over $60,000 and will provide our children with the programs they deserve.
School families, alumni, friends and the corporate community generously donate unique and valuable auction items. 
These donations are the corner stone of the success of the auction and our ability to secure these items is imperative. We started the donation process in September. We have three forms of bidding for these items: Online allowing those individuals to participate without attending the auction, Silent Auction will be displayed items in themed rooms the night of event, and Live Auction with a professional auctioneer to help with spirited bidding.
This year’s theme, Dream Big, will transform the Hilton into an entertaining evening where parents, staff, and friends have a special night out supporting our children. This auction provides over 90% of the directed PTA funds for the year so we are looking forward to increasing attendance this year. The funds raised will be used for items such as computer equipment, Technology Specialist and library assistance and instructional materials which are all critical to our children being able to “DreamBig” in the new Global community.
We need our community to come together and support this event. Whether you donate an item, attend the auction, provide sponsorship or volunteer your time, there is a place for everyone within the Annual Auction.
